Generating a Proof Set of Personalized Images

Once you define a graphic content object expression as a uImage call, you can generate personalized images directly in uPlan. This is often done for a subset of the recipient list (instead of all recipients), resulting in a Proof Set of personalized images; but may also be done for all recipients.

Personalized images are usually generated in uPlan. You can choose to perform the whole uImage workflow in uPlan, without requiring other XMPie VDP tools.

The personalized images can serve as standalone files, or be used as "regular" graphic assets that are nested within a larger document.

To generate a Proof Set of personalized images:

1. From the Data menu, choose Generate Proof Set

   The Proof Set Generation dialog is displayed.

2. Set the following fields and options:

   Option	Description
   Table	Choose a table from the drop-down list. Values for the content objects associated with the recipients in this table will be used to generate the Proof Set.
   Filter	Choose a recipient filter from the drop-down list. Values for the content objects associated with the recipients in this filter will be used to generate the Proof Set.
   Range	Under Range, select All to create a Proof Set for all records. Or, enter a range in the From and To fields.

3. Click Generate to create the Proof Set.

   You will be prompted to assign a name to the Proof Set.

4. Enter a name for the proof file and click Save.

   A progress bar displays the current status of your Proof Set generation.

   Your Plan and queries will be validated during generation.

5. You can view the Proof Set at the end of the process by going to the Output pane and double-clicking the Double click to view link.

   The Proof Set Viewer opens to display the personalized images.

   Click File > Exit to close the Proof Set Viewer.
