XM Campaign Queues

Following is a detailed explanation of the XM Campaign queues:

Pending Campaigns

Every XM Campaign product that has been checked out in the Storefront (and approved, in case the store has an approval process) lands in this queue, and waits to be launched. Note that the campaign product is not yet available to its recipients.

The system comes with an Auto launch XM Campaign trigger. This means that once a campaign enters the Pending Campaigns queue, it is automatically launched in Circle and moves to the next queue: Campaigns in Progress. If you wish to launch campaigns manually, inactivate this trigger.

If the trigger is not active, at the appropriate starting time manually move a pending item to the Campaigns in Progress list by clicking Launch.

Once launched, the item moves to the Campaigns in Progress queue. Correspondingly, the campaign in Circle becomes live. This means that scheduling (automated production) begins to operate, the website, if one exists, becomes available, triggered emails are triggered and analytics takes place.

Note: Batch email and batch print production that are not triggered by automation need to be manually run in Circle by the Circle administrator.

Campaigns in Progress

Lists all live campaigns.

If you wish to end a campaign, from the Action list click Terminate. This action transfers the product to the Completed Campaigns queue in uStore. It also becomes offline and archived in Circle.

This means that scheduling (automated production) and the website, if one exists, will no longer be available. Analytics and recipient list download will remain available.

If the campaign has print touchpoints in one of the print queues, they will not be archived. You must archive them manually. In addition, if the XM Campaign has print touchpoints in the Ready to Produce or Producing File in Progress queues, you will not be able to terminate the campaign.

Completed Campaigns

Lists all campaigns that have ended (the Terminate action was activated).

The only action that can be applied to a completed campaign is Archive.

Cancelled Campaigns

Lists all campaigns that have been canceled, prior to being launched.

The actions that can be applied a canceled campaign are Revert (will return the campaign to the Pending queue) or Archive.

Archived Campaigns

Lists archived items. Archived items are items that were prepared and delivered to customers. To archive an item, select Archive from the Actions menu and then click Go.
