Production notifications

Email notifications are sent to users notifying them when print, email or SMS production succeeds or fails. These notifications are sent for manual or scheduled batch print production and mass email or SMS.

Notifications are not sent for triggered email and PDF On Demand.

By using the Notification feature, you can improve efficiency and throughput of your business by letting the right people know the production status as soon as it occurs. By default, all the project's Administrators and Builders are notified, but any person can opt out of receiving the email by unsubscribing directly from the email notification.

Other users who are authorized to the project can be added to the Notification list (by a Builder or an Administrator). It is a good idea to include the print operator in the notifications to enable quick reaction to production failures. Make sure the relevant print operator has been invited and is authorized to the project.

Each Notification list relates to the scenario under which the notification will be sent:

  • On Production failure (this relates both to print, email and SMS production failure)

  • On successful Print production (this relates to batch print touchpoints which can be schedule or executed manually by pressing the Process button in a print touchpoint)

  • On successful Email/SMS production (this relates to mass email/SMS touchpoints which can be scheduled or executed manually by pressing the Send button in an Email/SMS touchpoint.

To configure a notification:

  1. In the relevant project, open the File menu and click Notifications.

  2. In the On Production Failure (Print/Email/SMS) section, select recipients who will receive an email when print/email/SMS production fails.

  3. In the On Successful Print Production section, select recipients who will receive an email when print production succeeds.

  4. In the On Successful Email/SMS Production section, select recipients who will receive an email when email/SMS production succeeds.
