JDF

Note: Options in the JDF area are being deprecated and replaced by the Post Composition Operations feature, which offers support for JDF, compression, destinations, and additional capabilities.

JDF (Job Definition Format) is an industry standard designed to simplify information exchange between different applications and systems in and around the Graphic Arts Industry. JDF authoring is implemented in PersonalEffect to match the JDF dialect used with Xerox FreeFlow machines.

The uProduce dashboard’s Process page allows you to create JDF files in addition to the output file. The JDF file is compatible with the Xerox FreeFlow JDF conventions, and can be submitted to the FreeFlow Print Manager and FreeFlow Process Manager.

Option	Description
Create JDF	Enable JDF production.
Copy To	Specify a predefined network path, to which a produced JDF file will be sent.
Finishing	Set up finishing options.
Customer Information	Enter the customer information.

When the production process completes, a new link labeled Download JDF appears at the JDF section of the processed job in the Job Center page.
