Setting up Users and User Groups
User permissions are set at the User Group level in uStore. The uStore administrator can control user access and permissions by allowing or restricting permissions for individual user groups. User group permissions are cumulative, meaning if a user belongs to two or more groups, the "allow" setting in one group will override any "deny" setting in the other group(s).
A quick list of modifiable permissions is as follows:
Storefront user groups:
-
Allow customers/shoppers to check out orders
-
Allow and manage limitations to products and product groups in the store
-
Allow to approve or modify orders when approvals are enabled for a store
Backoffice user groups:
-
View, create, and edit backoffice users
-
View, create, and edit storefront users
-

-
View only or manage limitations to order queues and order actions (used to process orders)
-
View reports (enables running reports)
-
View the Presets tab (enables using some presets)
-
Access Web Service/Rest APIs or Backoffice Rest APIs (for integrations/applications)
-
Set Circle access using SSO (special circumstances)
