Working with uProduce Email
The uProduce email feature lets you send email messages to recipients, enabling you to promote your campaigns by delivering email offers, newsletters, greetings and follow-up messages. You can have uProduce send an email message to customers as a response to various events, such as the loading of a web page, a form being filled out, an order submitted, and so forth. Using uProduce email, you can send customers the following:
-
A single email message: Email message sent as part of a personalized website. For example, you may send a customer an email saying “Thank you, John, for visiting our website”.
-
A batch of email messages (also known as mass email): Email messages distributed to your recipient list in a single operation. For example, you may choose to start your campaign by emailing a special offer to all the recipients in your recipient list in a single operation.
An email is made up of these three main elements:
-
Email message body, which is similar to the letter you place in an envelope.
-
Email activity which, is similar to the envelope where you define for example, To and From details.
-
Delivery provider which is responsible for delivering the email to the recipient.
An email is viewed in an email viewer. Whereas the majority of the email viewers, such as Gmail, Outlook and smartphones support HTML format, others, for example, low-end mobile email viewers, support only text format.
To make your emails readable regardless of the email viewer's limitations, uProduce email activity enables you to send a single email with both the HTML and text formats of the message body.
Prior to sending emails, you must check your country's anti-SPAM laws. For example, the U.S. Federal CAN-SPAM Act classifies emails as Commercial or Transactional. The Commercial email requirements dictate that the sender must include the Business Name and physical address in the email body as well as a way for the recipient to unsubscribe and stop receiving Commercial emails from the sender.
